Former Super Eagles Captain, Joseph Yobo has finally ditched the round leather game that brought him fame and fortune to embrace politics.
Yobo, had been a visible and vocal member of the President Goodluck Jonathan’s 2015 Presidential election campaign train.
Impeccable sources close to former Fernabache defender revealed to SoccerStar that Yobo’s recent foray into the political arena is not a mirage.
According to the source, the Rivers State born player, who recently enrolled for a UEFA coaching  course ,a fortnight ago turned down two  lucrative contracts from Asia and the MLS in America.
Daily Sunsport was also informed that Yobo printed thousands of posters in support of President Goodluck’s re-election bid.
“I can tell you that Yobo is no longer interested in playing football or anything related to the game now.
“Yobo is more interested  in paving the way for his political ambitions and from the way he is going, it is not a mirage.
“A couple of weeks ago, he turned down contracts from Asia and America to concentrate on his support for President Jonathan.
“Yobo is not stopping at just support alone, he is determined to take it beyond 2015.
It would be recalled that Joseph Yobo had been speaking at all the PDP rallies, calling on Nigerian youths to come out en masse and vote for President Jonathan come February 14, 2015.
